Rheumatology

The Division of Rheumatology is an outpatient, academic practice. The mission of the Division is to provide high quality patient care, excellence in teaching, and research. The Division is involved in teaching Internal Medicine Residents and Rheumatology Fellows as well as carrying out clinical research in the Division of Rheumatology offices.

The Division of Rheumatology accepts patients, upon physician referral, with a variety of rheumatologic problems including but not limited to, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, vasculitis, pseudogout, soft tissue rheumatism, inflammatory muscle disease and gout. The aims of the Division are to provide high quality evaluation for patients with musculoskeletal conditions and to recommend treatment strategies to patients for symptomatic relief. Patients with diagnosed and undiagnosed musculoskeletal conditions are seen on a regular basis in the Division of Rheumatology offices.
