Our doctors offer morning, afternoon and one evening a week appointments. Appointments are on a first come, first served basis. We routinely leave openings in our schedule for sick visits. Please call beginning at 8:30AM daily to schedule an urgent or sick visit.

As a courtesy to our patients we remind you by mail 2 weeks prior to a well child or annual office visit. Our Televox system automatically reminds ALL patients of appointments 2 working days prior to the appointment. University Medicine has a 24 hour cancellation policy. You will be charged a $25.00 fee for missed appointments or appointments cancelled in less than 24 hours.

TO ALL OUR PEDIATRIC PATIENTS:
PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL FORMS and IMMUNIZATION RECORDS: One set of complimentary forms is given at the time of yearly physical. Forms are good for one year. Please make additional copies or scan originals into your computer. Additional copies from our office will cost $5.00. All camp, school, daycare, sports forms to be filled out by the doctor will cost $5.00 per form. It may take up to two weeks to complete forms and return to you depending on how many requests we currently have. Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.
PEDIATRIC FLU CLINICS: Children with scheduled upcoming "well child visits" will be given flu shots at the time of their appointment. Children needing flu shots can call our office at 508-252-4834 to schedule your child's flu appointment.

After Hours Coverage:
If you have a cancellation, please leave a message with our twenty-four hour answering service. If you have a problem that you feel cannot wait until the next business day, the answering service will contact the physician on call.
Referral Process:
As your primary care physician, we are able to refer you to other physicians should you need more specialized care. It is to your advantage to see your primary care physician before requesting an evaluation by a specialist. We can often take care of your problem, but if your problem requires a specialty consultation, we will refer you to an appropriate specialist and complete necessary testing prior to your visit.
We request at least one week's notice to make a referral. Please call our phone number and leave the following information in our referral mailbox: Patient's name, patient's date of birth, patient's insurance, doctor you are seeing, what kind of doctor, doctor's phone, fax and address, date of your appointment, reason you are seeing this doctor.We request at least one week's notice to make a referral. Please keep us informed about visits to other physicians. This ensures that your medical record is always current, and aids us in providing you with the best care. We will never release your confidential medical information without your written consent.
Prescription Refill Process:
Please call your local pharmacy and ask them to contact us directly for your refill. This assures that the prescription will be filled for you within 24 hours. If you need prescriptions refilled by a "mail away" pharmacy: Please call us and give us the name of the mail away, your mail away ID #, the mail away fax # and the prescription that you need refilled.
Please monitor your medication supply to avoid the need for prescription renewals on weekends or holidays.

From Route 195 East:
- Take the Taunton Avenue exit and bear left onto Taunton Avenue.
- Go straight until you see Joseph's Restaurant (on the right) and a church on the left. Bear left at the church.
- Turn right onto Route 44.
- Continue on Route 44 for 5 - 6 miles.
From Route 195 West:
- Exit at MA exit 1 (Seekonk-Barrington) and turn right at the top of the ramp.
- Continue past the Showcase Cinemas and continue on 114, passing the Gristmill until you come to the intersection of 114/44.
- Turn right onto Route 44 (East) and continue for about 5 miles.
