The Division provides adults 65 years old and older comprehensive assessment and continuous care. Our clinicians have expertise in the evaluation and management of dementia, urinary incontinence, falls, gait and balance problems, frailty and patients with multiple medical problems. We strive to keep our patients as vigorous as possible through a variety of health promoting and disease preventing interventions. The Division is committed to combining excellent patient care with medical education and research devoted to the well being of older persons. Our providers have full-time academic appointments in the Brown Medical School and specialized training in geriatrics. The Division maintains an outpatient and long-term care practice, and leads the inpatient geriatrics service at Rhode Island Hospital.
